Zane Talkington is an American actress known for her emotional vulnerability, physicality and facial expressions, and impressive wheelhouse of characters and accent work. She has a passion for storytelling, inspiring others, and roles that challenge her to dig deep. With a film, theatre, and musical theatre background, she is equipped with the skills for stage and screen.
Zane is based in Los Angeles and works as a local hire in Georgia, New York, and Florida.
She believes the key to delivering captivating performances that are rooted in the truth is by continuing her training as much as possible. This dedication to her craft has led her to study at various programs including the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (LA), CAP 21 Musical Theatre Conservatory (NYC), Lees-McRae College Performing Arts Program (NC), casting director workshops, and self-tape coaching. In November, she will continue her training at The Groundlings.
Zane is the co-founder of Martini Shot Studios, an independent production company that strives to create compelling films, TV shows, and other content from up-and-coming storytellers. It is her goal to create a platform for new voices and allow aspiring artists who might not have had the privilege to study film at the collegiate level the opportunity to learn and create their art.
A mental health advocate, Zane created a podcast, TalkingToNobody, where she interviews dreamers to discuss their stories of pain, passion, and perseverance along with her Instagram page, The Excelsior Project, where she shares mental health resources and daily inspiration.
Be on the lookout for her upcoming short film, Simple Sins, for which she is credited as a writer, producer, and lead actress:
